05/22/2011 - STABLE SHOW Our 2011 Spring Stable Show was held May 21 and 22 and was very successful. There were 216 entries in forty classes including Grooming, Showmanship at Halter, various age groups and experience levels of horsemanship (both Saddleseat and Stockseat), Driving, Costume, Obedience and Working Pleasure. We also had a School Challenge open to high school and college students and alums. This is a fum class with riders decorating their horses and themselves in their school colors. It is a horsemanship class but costumes and decorations do count. This year's winner was Batavia High School represented by Lissy Wedell.

Working Pleasure is an obstacle/pattern class under saddle and Obedience is the same except the horses are led instead of being ridden. Our Pattern class is a pre-set pattern with no obstacles. Riders who  compete in their Saddleseat Pleasure, Working  Pleasure and Pattern class are eligible for our Eventing award. They must ride in all three events and receive popints for their placings. The Champion went to Amanda Isoda and Christina Sladkowski was Reserve.

High Point for the entire show went to Lucy Mellema, Christina Sladkowski was Reserve and Madelynn  Kendall was third. This award is determined by points accumulated from all classes that a rider competes in.
